About Us

Skye Public Relations was set up by Angie Palmer after she arrived in Ohio in 2008. She is a Hong Kong native who has traveled around and lived in different parts of the world, including Australia, China, Japan and Singapore.

With her management background, public speaking experience and multilingual skills, she started to delve into the writing and media business when she was in New Mexico. Being a quick learner and self-starter, she quickly gained recognition by the local media and had many of her articles published. She also worked with the local TV station and local portal website company to interview local personalities, such as the Director of the Chamber of Commerce and the award winners of the White Sands International Film Festival. Her Alamogordo and Holloman AFB blog is also a hit. In fact, it ranks number 1 on Google search.

Since coming to Ohio, the company has already worked with various businesses, independent filmmakers and government organizations.

Having been an active volunteer in New Mexico who worked diligently for the community, she continues her passion by volunteering in Ohio. She was the club sponsor for the New Frontiers Toastmasters Club, a corporate club at Boeing and also served on the editorial board of Newark Advocate. Some of her latest community involvements include working as a Board Member for The Film Council of Greater Columbus, Community Shares of Mid Ohio (COSMO) and Rosebriar Shakespeare Company, Writer for the National Military Family Association, Public Relations Manager for Ohio Contemporary Chinese School, Social Media Manager for White Sands International Film Festival and Publicist for Mid Ohio Filmmakers Association.

Angie has been recently selected as one of the Forty Under 40 Award 2010 recipient by Business First of Columbus for her professional development, awards and recognition, and community involvement in Ohio and other parts of the country.

If you get a chance to meet with her personally, you will be amazed at her energy level. It is not surprising to see her managing a few challenging tasks at the same time, all the time. In addition to her busy work life, she is constantly improving herself so as to bring her work to a different level. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in psychology with special interests in media, industrial and environmental psychology. A local green group called Ohio Green Specialists was also set up in Licking County, Ohio to create awareness and encourage individuals to adopt a green and healthier life. All classes and events are free.

Angie is a strong supporter of environment protection and the notion of "reusing, reducing and recycling." The company is managed with these principles in mind.
